We’re thrilled to announce that Andre Chavez will be joining SunCoast Market Grocery Cooperative as our new General Manager, starting September 22, 2025! Andre brings a wealth of experience in cooperative and natural foods retail, with a career that spans more than four decades.
Most recently, he served as a consultant General Manager and at Los Alamos Cooperative Market in New Mexico. His background also includes leadership roles at Rouse’s Markets, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, New Leaf Community Markets, and Sunflower Farmers Market, among others. His journey began in 1979 as the General Manager and Co-owner of Adam’s Market Inc. in Belen, New Mexico.
With deep roots in cooperative values, strong operational expertise, and a passion for community-focused food systems, Andre is the right person to help guide SunCoast Market into its next phase.
Andre will be stepping into the role previously held by Doug Zilm, who has relocated to Washington with his family. We’re deeply grateful for Doug’s leadership and vision and wish him and his family all the best in their new chapter. |
