You are invited to a special reception and tour of SunCoast Market Co-op, the first cooperative (community-owned) grocery store to open in San Diego’s South Bay region! SunCoast Market, located in Imperial Beach, will open in early 2026 and will expand access to fresh, sustainable and healthy food in our underserved community, provide a supportive retail outlet for local farmers and producers, and promote community health and the local economy.

This volunteer, resident-led effort has raised nearly $4 million and is in the final stretch of fundraising! Join us for a store tour and reception to learn how you can participate in a lending partnership that is providing critical funding to open the store and support initial operations. SunCoast seeks community-minded investors to participate in lending $200,000 in low-interest financing, complementing $800,000 that has already been committed by local philanthropists and the Local Enterprise Assistance Fund (LEAF), a non-profit CDFI loan fund that is also managing loans on behalf of other investors.
