June 2025 Construction Update

So much has been happening in the past several weeks that our store location isn’t even close to resembling where it was just two months ago! We hope you’ve been watching the photo updates on our social media channels because they are pretty exciting these days! We can’t wait to show you the changes in the next 2 weeks! You might remember the disappointing fixes we had to make after the rains earlier this year, but we are glad to say that we have moved forward!
We have recently completed the following:

  • Repaving of our trenches in the parking lot
  • New curb cuts in front of the store
  • Installation of electrical switch gear in the parking lot
  • Installation of electrical conduit
  • Drywall
  • First coat of paint
  • Installation of lighting brackets
  • Installation of our walk-in produce cooler
  • Installation of our table tops in the seating area

We have just started work on the flooring and running our electrical wiring.  The floor will take two to three weeks as they repair, grind, and densify the concrete. This means other work will slow down while that project is completed. Once done, we will start bringing our equipment out of storage into the store to be installed. You’ll start to see the store really take shape with these changes!

On the operational side of things, we have been just as busy!

  • We launched our new website with our new logo and branding and love the clean, simple, and much more functional site. Potential vendors can complete an application to sell items in our store using the new page on our website. We’ve been receiving them already!
  • We have also visited several farms that we will be working with to see their operations and start talking about what items they can grow for us. This is important work that co-ops provide to new, existing, or emerging farms and businesses that value the direction and mentorship we can provide.
  • Believe it or not, we are already preparing our holiday season pre-orders to suppliers. The grocery business is often working three to four holidays ahead.
  • We are also putting in a lot of work on the store “planogram” (which products and where they will be placed in the store) including finalizing our bulk herbs and spices area.
  • Plans for our everyday low-price program for certain products and our promotional program are very close to being finalized as well.

In short, the store is coming together in all facets and will be opening before we know it!
